At THF, we believe that sport can be used as a universal language to empower Refugees and Displaced Persons worldwide.

Every day, we try to pass on to refugees the many physical and mental benefits of our sport and martial art, Taekwondo, which is fun and easy to do as it requires minimal equipment. At the same time, taekwondo teachings also tackle important notions such as discipline, self-esteem and non-violence, which we believe can contribute to promote good global citizenship.

Yet we know that we are not the only ones to believe that sport can change the lives of refugees for the better, and this is where YOU come in!

This petition aims to demonstrate global support to the use of Sport as an empowering tool for refugees worldwide, and to further convince global decision makers to take concrete action in that sense.

Our goal is to gather as many signatures as possible for our Board Chairman and World Taekwondo President Dr. Chungwon Choue to present this petition to the United Nations at the occasion of the establishment of the Global Compact on Refugees in 2018.

So if you too believe that sports is a powerful tool to help refugees, please leave your signature on the right and share the petition with your community, friends and family!
